I’m listening to this at what is literally almost the last minute, and it’s been well worth the wait.  Halfway through, the album feels like a collage of the band’s catalogue and also a logical step forward. Nothing about the album has shocked me, yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s been predictable. I also don’t need surprises to make an album a worthwhile listen, especially when the musicality is already there.
