This and the 8-bit “Community” episode, “Digital Estate Planning,” made last week a great one for television.
Kristen Wiig is so enormously talented and I’m really excited to see what the rest of her career will look like. I hope people realize that beyond being a talented writer and performer, both capable of being supportive in an ensemble and also starring in sketches, Wiig was the first female to really anchor an “SNL” cast. History looks back fondly on Gilda Radner, Molly Shannon and Jan Hooks — as it should — but Wiig was her cast’s core and we all watched it happen. It’s not something people will figure out decades from now.
Thank God she passed on that “Bridesmaids” sequel. Wiig’s skills are too diverse for that.
And here’s the video of her goodbye
SNL - She’s A Rainbow
Can we talk about Bobby Moynihan’s ugly cry after hugging Kristen Wiig? I appreciate a man who is unapologetic about his emotions.
